Tepper Executive Education

Tepper Executive Education offers unmatched expertise in executive training that spans analytics and AI, communication, diversity and equity, innovation, and strategic leadership. We deliver programs that position corporations and individuals for higher level success.

A wide range of individuals, teams and organizations participate in Tepper Executive Education programs. Depending on your goal, we offer programs that address personal and professional topics of interest, pivot your career, and resolve a team or organizational challenge.

In-person programs are held at the Takamatsu Executive Education Center, located within the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The state-of-the-art Tepper Quad is located at the heart of campus, approximately 45 minutes from the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport.

Participants are expected to fully participate in programs for their entire duration. In order to receive a Certificate of Completion, participants must attend all program sessions and complete all activities and assignments.

Defer 
If you need to defer participation, you must submit your request in writing more than 30 days before the program start date. Deferrals are subject to approval and space availability. The balance of a payment for a deferred program can be applied to another program within one calendar year.

Cancel
If you need to cancel participation, you must submit your request in writing to ExecDir@andrew.cmu.edu more than 30 days before the program start date to receive a full refund. If you do not meet this deadline, you will be obligated to pay the full program fee. Withdrawal requests are valid only upon Tepper Executive Education confirming receipt of your request. After the program start date, no refunds will be issued.

In the unlikely event that a program is canceled or postponed by Tepper Executive Education, registrants will be notified via email and phone. If a program is canceled, the program fee will be refunded in full. Participants are responsible for canceled travel, accommodation, and any other expenses.

Payments & Invoicing

Invoices can be paid by credit card or purchase order.

In certain circumstances, a payment plan can be arranged. Please contact exec-director@andrew.cmu.edu to discuss.

Open Enrollment
Tepper Executive Education offers special pricing for various programs to meet the needs of your organization and teams. Below is a list of options.

Alumni
Alumni of Carnegie Mellon University are eligible to receive a 25% discount on open enrollment programs.

Bundle
Registering for at least three open enrollment programs in a short period of time as you work towards your Certificate in Executive Leadership makes you eligible for a 10% discount on each program.

Group
When two or more participants from one organization attend an open enrollment program together, each participant is eligible for a 10% discount.

Non-profit and Government
Employees of a tax-exempt non-profit organization or governmental agency are eligible for a 10% discount.

These discounts are valuable for participants who are pursuing the Certificate in Executive Leadership, demonstrating their dedication to earning an elite credential and mastering cutting-edge skills from a leading university.

Program fees include program content and instruction, program materials, and more. Depending on the program modality, Executive Education program fees may include select meals and special events. Program fees, dates, and faculty are subject to change.

Certificate in Executive Leadership

A Certificate in Executive Leadership is a Carnegie Mellon credential and a recognition of your continued commitment to advanced professional education. Pursuing a Certificate in Executive Leadership also qualifies you for a 10% program discount.

TEU stands for Tepper Education Unit. Each program is assigned a certain number of TEUs to correspond to the program’s length and depth of curriculum. Complete 10 TEUs within three years to earn the Carnegie Mellon Certificate in Executive Leadership.
