MBA Sustainability Concentration

Our MBA Sustainability concentration encompasses a wide range of topics including energy, natural resources, the environment, health and social well-being, engineering, and architecture.

The essence of sustainability is considering the impacts of actions today on outcomes in the future. As an outgrowth of the Tepper School’s recently launched Sustainability Initiative and in response to the increasing demand for sustainability studies, the MBA Sustainability concentration offers students an opportunity to pursue scholarship, coursework, and career opportunities in this ever-growing field.

Both the initiative and the Sustainability concentration draw from the existing expertise among faculty within the Tepper School and across the university and the focus within the business school and university-wide on technology, quantitative and computational approaches, and energy topics.

Some courses in the Sustainability concentration include:

  • Energy Policy and Economics
  • Energy Finance
  • Electricity Market Restructuring
  • Catastrophic Risk Analysis
  • Government and Business
  • Sustainable Operations
