Carnegie Mellon University

Ethics and Leadership

Course Number: 45745

This course is designed to enable students to understand how individuals may make mistakes in ethical decision-making, foster their ability to reason carefully and thoroughly about the ethical implications of managing organizations and people, and to help them more persuasively communicate that reasoning to people who may not share similar beliefs and values. As such, it is not a course that will prescribe the "right way to act," but is designed to complement the leadership and analytical skills taught in other courses at Tepper. The course will rely heavily on in-class participation, and also include course exercises, debriefings, lectures, and readings.
