Programs and Student Initiatives
Each academic program at the Tepper School offers a rich intellectual environment that transforms students into thought leaders who recognize the value of an inclusive community both in and outside of the classroom. Many of our students advocate for inclusion by creating committees and student clubs, and by working with the school’s leadership to directly advance our community.
Undergraduate Inclusion Initiatives and Alliances
- The Tepper Community Conversations Committee, comprised of undergraduate students, staff and faculty members, identifies opportunities for meaningful engagement between faculty, students and the school’s leadership team.
- Undergraduate business student clubs provide opportunities for students to get involved in leadership and community positions.
- Undergraduate economics student clubs, such as Equilibrium for undergraduate female economics students and MoneyThink, in which students teach financial literacy to area youth, offers students personal leadership development and a chance to be involved with and make an impact in their local communities.
MBA Inclusion Initiatives and Alliances
- The Tepper School partners with a number of national inclusion organizations that support the student experience for several affinity groups and their professional development, including the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management and the Forté Foundation.
- MBA affinity student clubs, such as the Black Business Association, Out&Allied, the Tepper Veterans Club, the International Business and Advisory Club and the Tepper Women in Business Club, offer opportunities for students to connect and expand their networks while also providing a platform to share different perspectives with their classmates.
- The Graduate Business Association’s Diversity Committee addresses challenges faced by MBA students. Heading up this committee is a student-elected diversity and inclusion officer, a position that rotates among students annually.
Doctoral Inclusion Initiatives and Alliances
- The Tepper School is a long-standing partner and active participant of the Ph.D. Project, which is the only national organization committing its efforts to increase faculty diversity in business schools.
