Workday-HR @ Carnegie Mellon University - Carnegie Mellon University

What is Workday?

Workday changes the way you work. The system places your personal employee-related information at your fingertips, enabling all employees to better manage and access their personal employee-related information. In Workday, employees are able to perform a number of tasks that previously required access to several systems and manual completion of forms, including viewing payslips, viewing and updating direct deposit information, viewing and updating benefit information, entering time electronically (non-exempt employees only), viewing PTO balance sheets, requesting time-off, and much more.

CMUWorks Service Center

Workday utilizes the CMUWorks Service Center—a service hub that specializes in walking employees through all benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and Workday questions and transactions. Visit the CMUWorks Service Center site for access to Workday and information about system updates and outages.

My Workday Toolkit

We encourage faculty, staff, and student workers to learn about Workday by visiting My Workday Toolkit. This site includes quick guides, screencast tutorials, instructor-led training and course registration information, terminology, and glossaries, all of which should help you use the system.
