HR Business Partner I

Job Profile Summary

The HR business partner I is responsible for performing HR-related duties on both a strategic and tactical level for designated college and administrative units. This position assists client groups in developing and driving an HR strategy/people agenda. The position is a key business partner to the colleges / administrative units they support and is a trusted advisor on employee and workplace matters. The position provides leadership in handling employee relations; performance management; employee engagement; organization design and development; diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives; policy interpretation and workforce planning activities. This position also assists with recruitment, compensation, and other key HR processes and provides a seamless experience to CMU employees as it relates to all HR activities.

The HR business partner I will assist the HRBP II (as needed) with the most complex issues for designated college and administrative units.
