HR Generalist I
Job Profile Summary
The HR generalist I position provides an opportunity for an individual to grow their HR knowledge and advance their career in Human Resources. This position typically reports to and takes direction from the director of Human Resources. This position performs a wide variety of HR-related functions, including:
- Processing transactions in Workday.
- Handling collaborating visitor inquiries.
- Generating reports and documents.
- Supporting the performance review and merit process.
- Resolving or assisting with basic employee relations issues.
- Researching and benchmarking HR best practices in support of ongoing diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Managing/coordinating HR projects both within designated units and across campus as well as helping to implement improved departmental business processes.
- Engaging in the implementation of the OHR’s strategic plan and continuous improvement initiatives.
