Voluntary Benefits Through MetLife

Eligible employees can enroll in voluntary insurance through MetLife. These coverages feature:

  • Guaranteed acceptance for you and other eligible family members.¹
  • Payments made directly to you.
  • Coverage is portable, meaning you can take it with you if your employment status changes.²

Accident Insurance

Accident Insurance can help you pay for costs not covered by your medical insurance. There are over 150 covered events associated with an accident that could trigger benefits, including various injuries, hospitalization, medical services and treatments. Coverage includes a $50 annual qualified health screening benefit per covered individual.

Critical Illness Insurance

Critical Illness Insurance pays a lump sum benefit directly to you if you are diagnosed with a covered illness that meets the plan criteria. The benefit is paid in addition to any other insurance coverage you may have. Coverage includes a $75 annual qualified health screening benefit per covered individual.

Hospital Indemnity Insurance

Hospital Indemnity Insurance benefits can help pay for out-of-pocket costs if you are admitted or confined to a hospital due to events such as illness, injury or childbirth. Coverage includes a $50 annual qualified health screening benefit per covered individual.

Legal Insurance

MetLife Legal Insurance gives you access to thousands of in-network attorneys in all 50 states, specializing in various areas of law for a low monthly cost. Covered services include wills, traffic issues, real estate, document preparation, family law, estate planning and more.

¹Coverage is guaranteed provided (1) the employee is actively at work and (2) dependents to be covered are not subject to medical restrictions as set forth on the enrollment form and in the Certificate.
