April Is Autism Acceptance Month
Autism Acceptance Month is recognized annually April. According to Disability:IN: "Originally started in 1970 as 'Autism Awareness Month,' the Autistic community continuously calls for more than just 'awareness' but for public acceptance and celebration. Many of us have a narrow understanding of Autism and Autistic people. This Autism Acceptance Month, please take the time to learn from Autistic professionals about the diversity within the Autistic Community and ways that can advance inclusion year-round."
