Bio

William Lutz is the former Director of Commercialization at NJIT (NJII) where he built the R1 university's incubator VentureLink, NJIT Venture Fund, and studio fellowship program. He also jointly created the Merck Digital Sciences Studio and managed the Technology Transfer Office. He is now running BlueX, a startup focused on Climate Change tech as it intersects the Ocean.

Before that Will was the CEO and co-founder of a number of startups including ForceOwl and ConnectWith. After which he became Unlimited Brewing Co's Director of Growth - creating branded beer for experiential marketing. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business with an MBA.

Prior to switching to a career in tech, Will was a submarine watch officer in the US Navy with expertise in nuclear engineering operations management and project implementation. He was assigned to the USS Miami (SSN 755), a U.S. Navy nuclear powered fast attack submarine.
