Bio

Cole Wolfson is Director of the Pittsburgh International Airport’s xBridge, a program that works with startups, universities and industry to pilot and deploy cutting-edge innovations within the airport, aviation and smart city industries, while also supporting the growth of the Pittsburgh region’s innovation ecosystem.

Prior to the airport, Cole was Senior Program Manager at AlphaLab Gear, the hardware accelerator program of Innovation Works. As the accelerator lead, Cole supported companies from an initial idea or prototype/MVP, through engaging early customers, to fulfilling demand by manufacturing at scale. The program is industry agnostic, but prioritizes investments in robotics, AI, advanced materials, and life sciences; particularly those with significant IP.

Cole is also a co-founder and owner of Petagogy, an independent chain of super-premium natural pet food stores. While initially engaged in day-to-day enterprise operations, as the company grew and became busier, larger, and more complicated, he stepped back into a supporting role, primarily responsible for back-end functions such as bookkeeping, payroll, and strategic growth initiatives.
