My expertise is designing fun and scientifically-grounded learning products. I've designed over 35 learning games, which have been played by over 3 million kids, licensed to large education companies, and won awards or funding from Sesame Street, the White House, the MacArthur Foundation, DARPA and the NYC Department of Education. As a scientist, I've run experiments within these games to conduct original research about the relationship between challenge and human motivation.
