Are you considering filing for a patent but want to know first if there are similar patents/prior art? Matt has developed considerable expertise in searching US and international patent databases to help you determine existing patents.

Those requesting help should create a list of possible words to search – e.g. synonyms to describe the technology, names of similar products, etc. If you have filed a provisional patent, bring this also . Please also note that a first contact might be brief. We’ll arrange a more involved meeting a few days after that (allowing time to prepare).
