Bio

Lynne is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburgh, PA. She works with student/faculty startups to move their science from the lab to the marketplace. She has also successfully coached startups in competitions for cash awards two first places and one second place in the prestigious McGinnis competition. She has been a mentor for ICORPS and Innovation Fellows. Currently, she is also a member of the Project Olympus Advisory Board.

Lynne has mentored many graduate students both at the University of Pittsburgh (PITT) and CMU to promote their academic/business careers. 

For several years, she has screened startups for angel investment. Lynne is adept at team development/cohesiveness, market analysis and approach to a successful exit. She also continues to develop national funding opportunities for early stage companies.

Lynne is former senior faculty at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine,  Gastroenterology Division, Department of Medicine. She is boarded in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Lynne has had a varied career, but her work with start-ups is the best she has done- challenging, educational and fun. It is also particularly important to her to facilitate the marketing of new science.
