The CMU HGSO’s main aim is to foster a sense of community within the History Department. It serves as an organizing body for History graduate students to gather for academic, social, and personal enrichment distinct from the auspices of the Department of History itself. The HGSO also hosts events and advocates for graduate students within the Department and the broader CMU community.
