Carnegie Mellon University

Study Abroad

History majors are strongly encouraged to incorporate a semester of study abroad into their course of study in order to gain first-hand experience of cultural and social diversity. Our majors are designed to be flexible to allow students to study abroad while still remaining on track to complete the major in four years. A study abroad destination and program should be chosen carefully in consultation with the History advisor and the Office of International Education.
