New iPhone? Here’s How to Stay Connected
Before you get your new phone
Enable DUO Instant Restore
If you’re keeping the same phone number, Instant Restore transfers your DUO account information to your new iOS device as long as you’ve enabled iCloud Keychain.
Verify your phone number in DUO
Visit 2fa.cmu.edu, select Manage Devices, and verify your phone number is correct. If it’s not, add your current phone number as a secondary device.
After you receive your new phone
Log in to DUO
- If you used Instant Restore, restore your device and you’re all set!
- If not and you kept the same phone number, update your device in DUO.
