Microsoft OneDrive
Overview
OneDrive is a cloud-based file storage and sharing service included with your M365 account. It allows you to securely store files and access them from anywhere using a web browser, desktop application, or mobile device. OneDrive is fully integrated with Microsoft Office apps and Microsoft Teams, making it easy to collaborate in real time with other campus affiliates.
Optional Tools and Features
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Save, open, and co-author documents stored in OneDrive. Autosave ensures changes are updated in real time.
- Teams - Share and collaborate on OneDrive files within chats and teams. Files shared in private chats are stored in the sender’s OneDrive.
- OneNote - Store notebooks in OneDrive for syncing across devices and sharing with others.
- SharePoint - OneDrive is built on SharePoint Online. Personal and team file storage often overlaps with SharePoint document libraries.
