McGowan Institute Forum

Registration is over for this event.

By Bryan Brown

I would like to invite the Osher at CMU community to an open to the public forum, panel discussion, and reception. For the past few years, we have been teaching the Regenerative Medicine class for Osher at CMU members. It is always well attended and the participants have great questions. One of the areas about which participants frequently have the most questions is stem cells and stem cell based treatments.

As part of our Annual Scientific Retreat, the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine is hosting “Stem Cell Therapies: Hope vs. Hype.” The panel will explore the potential and limitations of stem cells. Participants are invited to stay after the forum to meet researchers of the McGowan Institute. This event is open to the public. I think you will find this of interest and I look forward to seeing you there.

For more information and to register, please visit mcgowan.pitt.edu/retreat or contact Rebecca Bauroth at 412-624-5242.
