Osher at CMU is Celebrating 25 Years!

Dear Osher Member,

I am contacting you now to invite you to make a tax-deductible year-end contribution to support our celebration of the 25th year of Osher at CMU. If you have been on campus recently, I hope you have noticed the Adirondack chairs gracing many of the lawns and being used by students and Osher members. They are gifts from us to CMU in commemoration of our 25th Anniversary year. Next time you are attending an Osher course in Wean Hall, look for the display case on the wall opposite 4708, where you will find a plaque honoring our pioneer and prolific Study Leaders, another of our 25th Anniversary projects. When you next visit our website, please click on the "Publications" tab, then the "Photos & Videos" link, and then on "Osher, A Lifetime of Learning." This will let you watch a third of our 25th Anniversary initiatives, a video describing our program. We will use this for publicity purposes including new member orientation.

These and other activities commemorating our 25th Anniversary have been made possible by generous donations from our membership. Our goal is to raise $25,000, all of which will be used to meet the costs of our anniversary activities. Contributions to date total $18,000, so we are looking for an additional $7000.

Among upcoming events that your donation will underwrite are participation in the CMU 50th Anniversary celebration this November and a special celebration at our Annual Meeting next April, when we launch the second quarter Century of our highly successful program.

Members: Please sign in to properly record your donation using your Osher account information. To do this, click "Member Sign In" in the navigation bar above, sign in with your username and password, and then click "Donate" in the upper right grey box.

Of course, we also gratefully accept unrestricted donations if you so prefer.

Thank you in advance for being a dedicated member and supporter of Osher at CMU.
