Communications
CMS Announce
The CMS Announce mailing lists are the primary method of communication regarding the Cascade and Drupal CMS services. They provide email alerts of maintenance and outages, plus notifications about upgrades and new template features and functionality. New website managers are automatically subscribed to their CMS Announce list, but anyone interested in keeping up-to-date on the Cascade or Drupal CMS services may also subscribe.

Upcoming Features
Check here for the latest information related to upcoming features and releases in Drupal and Cascade that address bug fixes and requested changes from content editors across campus.
Drupal
- Universal Footer — Use the global footer from a different Drupal site so that you don’t have to rebuild the entire footer on every site you manage. This also allows the footer to be managed in one central location.
- Chronological News Listings — News listings will display in descending chronological order of the article’s publication date.
- Easily Add Content Types — See content types at a glance and add them efficiently without a scrollable drop down menu.
- Add More Descriptions — Get the option to add a bit of text in an optional description box in more content types, similar to how you’re able to do so in a Text Grid content type, for example.
- SSO Authorization — Web editors will be able to create SSO protected web pages that will require an Andrew ID to view.
In the Queue
These features are in the pipeline, but will not necessarily be included in the next Drupal release.
- Redesigned Grid components
- Cascade design updates
- Updated Finder features and authoring experience
