Microsoft Copilot

Copilot is Microsoft’s generative artificial intelligence (AI) platform. It uses multiple data models to generate written and visual content based on a prompt.

Copilot provides additional data protection when you access it using your Andrew userID. Microsoft will not retain your prompts or responses beyond your session, or use them to train its AI models.

Options

• Microsoft Copilot Chat: At CMU, you have access to Microsoft Copilot Chat, a powerful browser-based chatbot that generates written and visual content based on a prompt.
• Note: Microsoft 365 Copilot integrates AI directly into Word, Excel, Outlook, and other tools and is a paid option not currently available to the CMU community.
