macOS Sequoia Now Supported

Computing Services finished assessing Apple's latest operating system, macOS Sequoia, for compatibility with our core software and services. We are pleased to announce support for Sequoia on both personal and university-owned computers.

If you aren’t sure if you should upgrade, check with your department. Desktop Support Program (DSP) customers should contact DSP at dsp@andrew.cmu.edu or 412-268-4357 (HELP) before upgrading.

Wondering what’s new in this feature-packed release? Here are two of our favorite updates:

  • Introducing Apple Intelligence
A new AI-driven feature, Apple Intelligence uses your context to provide assistance that is most helpful to you at that time. Try new writing assistance tools, image and emoji generators, and a new version of Siri, which is more capable than ever.
  • Seamless Device Continuity
Use iPhone Mirroring to control your phone from your Mac and easily drag and drop photos, files, and documents between the two devices. You can even catch your latest iPhone notifications directly from your Mac.
