Manage Groups & Folders

Groups are managed in folders. You can only create and delete folders and groups in folders for which you have privileges. 

There are several ways to navigate to a folder. 

Quick links

  1. Select My folders in the Quick links section of the left navigation to see only the folders for which you have privileges. 
  2. In the Folders I manage tab, select a folder. 

Search

  1. Enter the folder name or the folder ID in the Search field at the top-right of the page.
  2. From the search results, select a folder.

Browse folders

  • In the Browse folders section of the left navigation, select a folder. 

You can create subfolders in your managed folder to further organize your groups. 

  1. Select My folders in the Quick links section of the left navigation.
  2. In the Folders I manage tab, select the folder where you want to create a subfolder.
  3. In the More actions dropdown menu, select Create new folder.
  4. Enter a Folder name and Description following the Name a Folder or Group conventions.  
    Note: The Folder ID is the unique identifier for the folder and is automatically created based on the folder name. It is recommended that you do not change the Folder ID. 
  5. Click Save.
  1. Navigate to the folder you want to delete.
  2. In the More actions dropdown menu, select Delete folder.  
    Important: You will delete the folder and all of its groups. This action cannot be undone.  
  3. Click Delete.

There are several ways to navigate to a group page. 

Quick links

  1. Select My groups in the Quick links section of the left navigation to see only the groups that you have privileges to manage. 
  2. In the Groups I manage tab, select a group. 

Search

  1. Enter the group name or the group ID in the Search field at the top-right of the page.
  2. From the search results, select a group.

Browse folders

  • In the Browse folders section of the left navigation, select a group. 

Groups organize membership. Group names should be descriptive and indicative of the group function, membership, and/or how it’s being used within the application. 

  1. Select My folders in the Quick links section of the left navigation.
  2. In the Folders I manage tab, select the folder where you want to create a group.
  3. In the More actions dropdown menu, select Create new group.
  4. Enter a Group name and Description following the Name a Folder or Group conventions.  
    Note: The Group ID is the unique identifier for the group and is automatically created based on the group name. It is recommended that you do not change the Group ID. 
  5. Click Save.

  1. Navigate to the group you want to delete.
  2. In the More actions dropdown menu, select Delete group.  
    Important: You will delete the group and all of its members. This action cannot be undone.  
  3. Click Delete.
