How to Uninstall a Printer

These campus printers are no longer active: Andrew Color, Andrew BW, Library Color. Remove them to clean up your printer list.

  1. Click the Search field in your taskbar, type mmc, then click Enter
  2. In the window that opens, click File > Add / remove Snap-in… (top left)
  3. Under Available snap-ins, select Print Management, then click Add (center).
  4. In the Configure Print Management pop up, click Add the Local Server, then click Finish.
  5. In the Add or Remove Snap-ins window, click OK.
  6. Expand the Print Management folder by clicking the small arrow next to the folder name (left). Then expand the Print Servers folder.
  7. Click on the server listed under Print Servers.
  8. In the list that appears under the server name, click Printers.
  9. Select the printer name, then right-click > delete:
    • Andrew Color
    • Andrew BW
    • Library Color
  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Select Printers & Scanners.
  3. Select the printer you want to remove, then click the Remove Printer...

Check with your department before uninstalling the Andrew print drivers. You may need to retain them to print to SCS department printers.
