Guest Wireless Service
The guest wireless service provides campus guests with basic network access for web, email, and remote log in services.
Create an Access Code
Faculty or staff sponsors use Event Manager to create an event and corresponding access code, which guests use to access the guest wireless service.
- Open the Guest Wireless System.
- Log in with your Andrew userID and password.
- Select Manage in the Event Manager box.
- Click Add Event.
- Complete the fields and click Add Event.
Note: The start and end dates define the span for the access code (90 days max). - You will be redirected to a list of your events. This displays the access code for each event.
- Distribute the access code and connection instructions [PDF] to event attendees.
Connect to Guest Wireless
Guests, follow the instructions below to connect:
- Select the CMU-GUEST wireless network.
- Visit any web page.
- You will need a valid non-CMU email address and the access code.
Note: Your faculty or staff sponsor can provide you with an access code. - Accept the terms of use and click Log In.
Only one session is allowed per email address. Using the same email to connect multiple devices, will disconnect all devices.
