Making Student Connections
Anxious to hear what currently enrolled students have to say about Carnegie Mellon? Make a "student connection" with one of our own students!

Making Student Connections is a special program in the Office of Admission where we put prospective students in touch with currently enrolled students. You can talk to somebody who shares your academic or social interests, or simply choose to speak to any student who is available. You can make a student connection by email, phone or letter.

Your conversation can be about anything you like--academics, social life, clubs and activities, the food, the weather in Pittsburgh--whatever is on your mind.

Yes, the students do work for the Office of Admission, but we encourage them to be honest! They're here to help you make the best decision about your education--which includes answering your questions and offering their own opinions. No question is too big or too small!

If you'd like to make a student connection, consider the following options:

phone--simply call the Office of Admission, (412) 268-2082, and ask to speak with a Making Student Connections student. Make sure to tell us your area of academic interest and the best time to get in touch with you. We'll have a student call you back as soon as possible!

email--send mail to making-student-connections@andrew.cmu.edu Make sure to tell us a little bit about yourself in the message, like your name, high school, academic interests, etc. You'll receive email back from a Making Student Connections representative as soon as possible.

snail mail--send us a letter requesting contact from Making Student Connections. Again, tell us a little bit about yourself and your academic interests. We'll arrange for Making Student Connections to either reply through snail mail or a phone call.
