The Pittsburgh Zoo

Welcoming People and Animals of All Kinds

"I feel so inspired by the animals at the zoo, especially the giraffes—their long necks and purple tongues are just magnificent!"
Marceline Longbottom '53

Home to cheetahs who think like sea turtles who think like red pandas.

This is where the arid grassland meets the ocean deep meets lush forest. Explore the world through the eyes of a Masai giraffe, a Komodo dragon or a river otter. Come with unfettered excitement, leave knowing the wonders of the animal kingdom.

First Year Experience

See the world through all kinds of eyes. During your first trip, you'll walk from continent to continent, exploring the animals the world has to offer. Take a bit of the world home with you when you stop in our gift shop.
