Tartan Preview Day

We look forward to welcoming you to campus for our Tartan Preview Day on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025, and sharing a taste of our community with you!

Several academic departments and campus offices are offering informational sessions or tours, and/or participating in our two fairs throughout the day. You can find participating departments and offices, as well as descriptions and locations of the various events in the schedule below. 

PLEASE NOTE: you can only attend the academic sessions and events for which you register.

Event registrants will be provided meal vouchers to use at certain campus eateries. So be sure to leave time in your schedule to grab lunch!

The presentation will highlight the unique educational pathways, personalized advising and world-class research and internship opportunities that allow Dietrich students to thrive in college and beyond.

Materials Science and Engineering Session and Tour

Are you interested in chemistry, physics and engineering but unsure what that looks like as a major? This session will outline what Materials Science and Engineering is and how our program at CMU is unique. You will also have an opportunity to tour our undergraduate lab spaces.

Finding Your CMU Community Session

Join staff members from the Admission Office and Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion to learn more about the many ways we help students find their CMU community. We will give an overview of a variety of campus resources including our Wellness and Meaning Making programs, Religious and Spiritual Life at CMU, The Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion and Student Academic Services before turning it over to our student panelist.
