Carnegie Mellon University’s Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences recently celebrated its staff and recognized 19 who have spent many years working with great commitment and loyalty to the college.

“Every single accomplishment that happens within Baker Hall has a direct link to you,” said Brian Junker, associate dean for academic affairs in the Dietrich College, during opening remarks. “Whether it’s creating and launching a brand new major or program; trying to keep up with the demands of a department that is growing exponentially; facilitating studies that lead to pioneering research; keeping faculty and students on track; and many, many other things that you do, day in and day out.”

Staff gathered on the Baker Hall patio for an afternoon of mingling, a barbeque lunch and ice cream bar.
