Dandoy Wins Andy Award

UPDATE, Oct. 18, 2023: Correy Dandoy, senior academic advisor and communications manager for the Information Systems Program, has received the 2023 Andy Award for Commitment to Students.

This fall, four staff members from Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences have been nominated in three of Carnegie Mellon University’s Andy Awards categories. The Andy Awards, named for Andrew Carnegie and Andrew Mellon, aim to recognize the legacy that staff members forge through their hard work. The ceremony will take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the Cohon University Center’s McConomy Auditorium.


Commitment to Excellence

The Andy Award for Commitment to Excellence honors staff members who take great pride in producing excellent work. They serve their customers with a steadfast commitment to quality performance. Nominees have an upbeat attitude and are consistently willing to invest considerable time and effort to overcome obstacles so that outstanding work might be delivered.

Teamwork and Collaboration: Special Projects Team

 The Andy Award for Teamwork and Collaboration honors staff teams who exemplify collaboration and cooperation with colleagues, students and the university community and recognizes its transformative impact. The team has developed new approaches, methods and systems to improve organizational effectiveness or has improved the student experience and/or students' learning opportunities. It has demonstrated imagination and creativity in solving problems or fostering change that benefits the university community.
