To assess the individual’s perceptions of his or her likelihood of developing a cold during the study.

Description

Using a 5-point likelihood rating scale, participants respond to the following single item:

On average, about one-third of the people in our studies develop colds.  How likely do you think it is that you will develop a cold?

PCS1 participants were asked about their likelihood of developing a cold on the first day in quarantine following viral challenge.

Scaling

0 = not at all likely, 1 = a little likely, 2 = moderately likely, 3 = quite likely, 4 = extremely likely
