Tepper Advantages: Part-Time On-Campus MBA Program

Tepper School part-time MBA students have access to all of the same program benefits offered to full-time students.

A top MBA program is defined by more than just the curriculum. Award-winning faculty, leadership development, access to career services and networks that last a lifetime all contribute an MBA experience that will position you to succeed well beyond graduation.

At the Tepper School, you won’t trade any of these benefits for the flexibility of a part-time program. We call that the Tepper Advantage.

Same Program Advantage

We offer three MBA formats, but there is only one Tepper MBA: same faculty, same curriculum, same resources, same MBA. Because the learning is equal across all three MBA formats, some of your classes will include full-time students, and you have the option to switch formats after one year.

Mentorship and Leadership Development Advantage

A unique aspect of our Part-Time On-Campus MBA format is our mentoring program. Run by the Part-Time Graduate Business Association, this voluntary program will pair you with a second- or third-year MBA student. Your mentor will help you make connections at the Tepper School, share their experiences in the program, and more.

Like our full-time students, part-time MBA students have access to leadership coaching through our Accelerate Leadership Center. The center provides leadership programming, one-to-one leadership coaching, communication coaching, and customized leadership workshops and training for students to create action plans that advance their personal and professional leadership goals.

Career Path Advantage

You’ll also have access to career resources through our top-rated Masters Career Center. Career coaching, on-campus recruiting, corporate presentations and connections to top jobs at premier companies are all available to our part-time students.

Our part-time students also have access to student clubsspeaker events and career treks that will enrich their academic experience and provide opportunities to connect with colleagues, alumni and potential employers.

Community Advantage

From your first day together at BaseCamp orientation, you’ll become part of a supportive culture with other professionals from diverse backgrounds. Our small class sizes allow for deeper connections between students and with faculty.

Like full-time students, part-time students have the opportunity to engage in student life through clubs, leadership opportunities, involvement with the Graduate Business Association, career treks and more. From recruiting treks and alumni networking receptions to case competitions and student socials, part-time students are encouraged to become involved with the larger Tepper School community of classmates, faculty and alumni.

And beyond your time at the Tepper School, you’ll be part of a thriving and expanding business alumni community, in Pittsburgh and globally.

Flexibility Advantage

The part-time MBA format was developed with working professionals in mind. With classes just two nights a week, it’s a schedule that fits your life.

For added flexibility, you also have the option to take online courses. Additionally, you can switch to full-time program without missing a beat in the transition.
