Jennifer Huang Publishes First Book of Poetry

Creative Writing alum Jennifer Huang returned to CMU on March 23rd via Zoom to read from their debut book, Return Flight, and answer questions from students and faculty.

Published on January 18th, 2022, Return Flight intimately explores themes such as inheritance, trauma, and desire through poetry. Huang’s book was selected as the winner of the 2021 Ballard Spahr Prize for Poetry from Milkweed Editions and was featured in the New York Times Book Review, The Rumpus, and The Poetry Foundation.
