MAPW Matthew Liner Awarded Dozzi Scholarship for his Internship with The Mattress Factory and VIA

Second semester M.A. in Professional Writing student Matthew Liner has been awarded the Peter C. Dozzi Internship Initiative Scholarship for the summer of 2013.  The scholarship money is made available through the Carnegie Mellon Career and Professional Development Center for students who will be staying in the Pittsburgh Region to complete a summer internship experience, as an incentive to keep Carnegie Mellon talent in and around the Pittsburgh Region. All Carnegie Mellon undergraduates and graduate students from any college or school who have a strong academic record and an internship offer in the Pittsburgh region are invited to apply annually.

Liner will be doing two summer internships in Pittsburgh this summer.  One is fulltime with The Mattress Factory, a contemporary art museum located on Pittsburgh’s North Side.  The other is with VIA, an organization that promotes music and the arts.

Each year, ten scholarships are awarded across a diverse group of Carnegie Mellon’s six colleges.  Students interested in applying for future Dozzi Scholarships can learn more about the application process through the Career and Professional Development Center and TartanTrak.
