Mackenzie Smith Selected as one of Pittsburgh's "Best and Brightest"

Mackenzie Evan Smith, a senior creative writing major in CMU's English department, will be featured at cityLIVE!'s Best and Brightest event on March 16. Mackenzie is one of six local college students selected by cityLIVE! for this event.

Mackenzie, who spent several years traveling the globe before attending college, recently won the prestigious Henry Luce Foundation Scholarship, which will allow her to spend a year living and working in Asia.

Started in 2007, cityLIVE! is a free event series in Pittsburgh that showcases the area's creative, intellectual talent. The Best and Brightest event will be held at Pittsburgh's New Hazlett Theater at 6:30.
