I am currently the push captain for Spirit Buggy! I joined in the fall of my freshman year as a pusher and fell in love with the sport and the super unique experience of pushing a buggy. Getting up early to go practice with everyone created a really strong community, and everyone is super enthusiastic about all things buggy. The most rewarding part is Raceday when all the team’s race and everyone’s hard work pays off!

What is your favorite English course and why?

A lot of the courses that the English Department offers are amazing, but so far my favorite would be 76-368 Role-Playing Games Writing Workshop, a class I’m currently taking. We are taught how to write an interactive game, which follows the structure of a limited series (ex. The Queen’s Gambit). This is a really unique class because everyone writes on teams - which is really similar to industry writing rooms. I’ve personally never written a story on a team before, and having this experience has already made me better as a writer!

What would people be surprised to know about you?
