The English Department Student Advisory Committee (SAC)

The English Department Student Advisory Committee is comprised of a group of students across all undergraduate majors in English. Each academic year, the English faculty selects the Committee; these selections will be based on a student’s academic background, leadership potential and commitment to the program.

The primary functions of SAC include:

  • Promote communication between the English students, faculty, staff and administration
  • Organize various English student-centered events and programs and disseminate information regarding relevant topics and events in the English Program
  • Provide feedback and insight on academic issues
  • Promote a sense of community within the Department

  • Advising Week
  • Job and Internship Panel
  • Senior Dinner

SAC provides a communication link and promotes activity between the English student body and the Program’s faculty, staff and administration.
