Curriculum Highlights
Build AI fluency step by step, from understanding data and statistics and learning to code to machine learning and using AI to solve business problems. Designed for nontechnical professionals, the curriculum moves beyond tool use to explore how data and AI systems are built, evaluated and applied to business challenges.Â
- Explore the building blocks behind AI (Python & ML)
- Assess AI solutions through both a technical and business lens including how to evaluate value, tradeoffs, and risk
- Understand and evaluate ML models, interpret how models work, compare approaches, assess performance, and recognize limitations.
- Identify where AI and ML can improve products, processes, customer experiences, and decision-making and where it may not be the right solution.Â
Throughout the experience, students will build the practical skills and technical fluency that are increasingly required to succeed in the modern workplace of today and tomorrow.Â
Online Course Descriptions
Use evidence to make better decisions under uncertainty.
Build the quantitative foundation needed to interpret data and evaluate business claims. You will learn how probability distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, and regression help managers distinguish meaningful patterns from noise and make more defensible decisions. The course connects statistical reasoning to practical business problems and prepares students for more advanced work in analytics and machine learning.
Learn to work directly with code and data.
Develop practical programming skills for data analysis in two widely used languages. Starting without formal prerequisites, you will use R and Python to visualize, manipulate, merge, reshape, and analyze data. Hands-on case studies help you move from following examples to solving real questions with code—and give you the foundation to continue learning independently and prepare for statistics and machine-learning coursework.
Understand the models behind modern predictive analytics.
Move beyond using machine learning as a black box. In this course, you will study the principles that guide how models learn from data, generalize to new situations, and balance fit with complexity. Using Python and real-world business data, you will implement and compare widely used approaches, evaluate their strengths and limitations, and learn how model choices affect practical outcomes.
Turn AI concepts into business solutions.
Apply your technical foundation to the design and evaluation of AI-enabled products and business processes. Through hands-on demonstrations, case studies, exercises, and a project, you will explore how AI can support search, pricing, market research, financial services, and creative work. The course emphasizes both what can be built and how managers should evaluate value, trust, fairness, interpretability, adoption, and unintended consequences.
