Data-Driven, Iterative Improvement at Work: Redesigning Tepper Ready

Barraclough, K., Henry, K., Telmer, C., and Liang, P.J.

Tepper Ready 1.0 was launched in July 2018 with over 240 incoming MBA students participating in the course. Data through the end of August 2018 were collected and analyzed. In addition, nine TAs completed a thorough review of the course using a detailed rubric. The course data, coupled with the review results, led us to

  1. revise a number of content items in existing accounting and finance material;
  2. integrate scenario-based content in a new area, entrepreneurship;
  3. revise the learning objectives and skill map; and
  4. include pre- and post- self-assessments.

Tepper Ready 2.0 was released in early July, 2019. To date, over 160 incoming MBA students have engaged in the course. We will discuss our data-driven, iterative improvement process and present early analysis of Tepper Ready 2.0 data. This work was supported in part by a Simon Initiative ProSEED grant.
