Using Virtual Reality (VR) As An Instructional Tool

This technology-enhanced learning demo focuses on the use of virtual reality (VR) in the
classroom. Participants will use an Oculus Rift + Touch to experience realistic images
and sounds, interacting with features in a virtual environment. After the demo, a followup
discussion emphasizes why VR was piloted as an instructional tool, as well as
opportunities to enhance student learning with VR. Based on positive feedback from
students during the pilot, additional research is planned for upcoming semesters.
