Announcing Searches for Vice President of University Communications and Marketing and Chief Human Resources Officer

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I am pleased to announce the launch of two searches to fill vacant leadership positions — Vice President for University Communications and Marketing and Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer — on Carnegie Mellon’s leadership team.

The incoming Vice President for University Communications and Marketing will be responsible for developing a comprehensive and integrated communications and marketing strategy that tells the inspiring CMU story and enhances our global reputation. The incoming Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer will lead a team of HR professionals to foster a dynamic and rewarding experience for CMU’s faculty and staff.

These positions remain central to advancing our university’s academic and research missions and will require executive oversight and strategic guidance of their respective departments. Both positions will serve as key members of my senior leadership team while working in close partnership with administrative and academic leaders, faculty and staff to further the goals of their divisions and the entire university.
