Veterans Day 2023

Dear Members of the CMU Community:

Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, is Veterans Day — a day when our nation recognizes military service members, past and present, for dedicating their lives to protecting our personal freedoms and preserving democracy across the world.

At Carnegie Mellon, our military community on campus comprises more than 250 staff, faculty and students and includes our Veterans Alliance Employee Resource Group and NROTC. These veterans, active-duty service members and cadets join an untold number of CMU alumni who have served.

We owe these veterans, service members and their families an incredible debt of gratitude, and I invite you to join me in recognizing and honoring our military community for Veterans Day.

What: Flag-raising ceremony
When: Friday, November 10, from 7:50 to 8:05 a.m.
Where: The Cut on our Pittsburgh campus

Following this event, there will be a breakfast in the Rangos #3 on the second floor of the Cohon University Center. All veterans, service members and Tartans are welcome to attend.
