Tepper School Alumni Board Welcomes New President and Members

The Tepper School of Business recently welcomed new leadership and several accomplished alumni to its Alumni Board, including the appointment of a new board president and the addition of new members who bring a range of professional experience and expertise.
Paul Frank (MSIA ’00), Partner at PwC, will serve as the new president of the Alumni Board. Frank brings extensive experience in technology, strategy, and business transformation, along with a longstanding commitment to the Tepper School community.
"As we look ahead to the coming year, our focus is clear: we are locking arms with Alumni Relations to build deep, vibrant communities in our largest regional chapters, re-energizing the incredible past board members who laid our foundation, and fundamentally improving alumni communications and connectivity across the board,” Frank said. “The strength of the Tepper School of Business has always been the caliber and engagement of our network, and I am deeply energized to partner with all of you to shape an even more connected future together.”
The new board members join Frank in supporting the Tepper School and its global alumni community. The new Alumni Board members include:
Matt Joachim (BS 2008)
Senior Marketing Director, HelloFresh Group
Joachim has built a career spanning established companies and startups, with marketing leadership roles at American Express, Square, Boxed, Fundera, and Meta before joining HelloFresh.
Kelin Li (MSCF 2017)
Partner, Xuper Funding
Li moved from China to the U.S. for college and has spent more than a decade living and working in New York City, including eight years in trading before recently embarking on an entrepreneurial journey with a startup.
Jeff Mazur (MBA 2006)
Senior Vice President & Managing Director, PNC Capital Markets
Mazur is the head of the PNC Financial Institutions Group’s Derivatives Sales Team at PNC Capital Markets, where he works with community and regional banks across the country to manage interest rate risk.
Steph Oba (BS 2000)
VP & Chief of Staff to the CEO, Viasat
Oba began her career in consulting at KPMG Consulting and McKinsey & Company before moving into Strategy and Finance leadership roles across the telecommunications and retail industries on the West Coast.
Emmanuelle Skala (BS 1994)
Founder & CEO, Shakti Strategies
Skala has more than 30 years of experience helping technology companies build and scale high-growth revenue organizations, including leadership roles at Toast, DigitalOcean, Sophos, and other high-growth SaaS companies.

Established in 2008, the Tepper School Alumni Board brings together engaged alumni from around the world who are committed to advancing the school and strengthening connections across the global alumni network. The board provides strategic guidance to the Tepper School and the Alumni Relations team, while serving as an important link between alumni and the broader CMU community.
The Tepper School Alumni Board is dedicated to providing opportunities to engage, educate and connect alumni to the school and each other.
Formed in 2008, members representing alumni from around the world, the Tepper School Alumni Board works to advance the interests of its global alumni community.
Selected from a pool of active alumni volunteers, each member plays a strategic role in advising the Alumni Relations team and the overall Tepper School, providing that important link between alumni and the school.
