Assessing Learning for Hybrid and Remote Teaching and Learning
Just as your mode of instruction will be different for Fall 2020, your strategies for assessment may benefit from minor or major adjustments to address the issues associated with assessment in hybrid and remote contexts, e.g., maintaining rigor, managing student stress, attending to students’ different learning environments, and promoting academic integrity.
In June and July, a CMU working group met to develop a rich set of assessment recommendations (pdf version):
- Designing quizzes
- Administering exams
- Assessing group work
- Promoting academic integrity
- Using remote proctoring tools
