What's New in Room Selection?

Below are some changes that are being implemented for Room Selection 2018. More updates will be posted as they become known.

Henderson House

Henderson Wellness House will not require an application process during Room Selection 2018. It will be retainable and retaining residents can pull in roommates. Remaining spaces will be filled through General Room Selection. Residents who select Henderson must abide by the wellness theme and maintain a substance-free environment.

Boss House

Prime rooms on the first and second floors of Boss House will be available to upper-class residents during Room Selection. The third floor will remain as designated first-year housing.

Welch House

The third floor of Welch House will become quiet-living housing for first-year students beginning in Fall 2018. Residents who wish to remain in Welch but live on the third floor are welcome to retain, but will be relocated to a comparable space on the first or second floors following retention.

McGill House

The third floor of McGill House will become first-year all-female housing beginning in the Fall 2018. Current residents who live on the third floor of McGill but wish to retain are welcome to do so, and will be relocated to a comparable space on the first or second floors following retention.

Morewood Gardens Bathrooms Renovations

For the Fall 2018 semester, the following rooms on floors 2 through 6 will have newly renovated bathrooms (only the last two digits of each room number is listed below):

09, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28

Also, please note that Morewood Gardens rooms currently ending in an 11 or 13 - which currently have their own bathrooms - will become a suite and share a bathroom.

Smoke Free Campus Housing

All of campus housing will be smoke-free beginning in Fall 2018.  This includes Webster and Fairfax Apartments, which previously permitted smoking.  This is due to a change by Fairfax and Webster Management, not Housing Services.  Smoking will not be permitted it any campus residential buildings.
