Take Psychology Courses

Psychology courses are an excellent complement to any discipline, as they help you to develop a deeper understanding of how people think, feel, and behave.  Learn more about our introductory courses in Social, Developmental, Cognitive, Biological, and Abnormal Psychology.

If you are considering majoring or minoring in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or Neuroscience, we encourage you to explore our degree requirements.  We offer five different degree programs, most of which allow students a large amount of flexibility to choose the courses that best fit their interests and career plans.

Gain Research Skills and Experience

We strive to expose all of our students to cutting-edge psychological science.  Our faculty members are world leaders in developmental, cognitive, social/health, and neuroscience research, and they incorporate the latest theories and methodologies into our courses.

We also provide many opportunities for students to gain hands-on research experience and to work one-on-one with a faculty mentor, including Research Methods courses, Working in Faculty Research Laboratories, and Conducting a Senior Thesis.

Prepare for a Wide Range of Careers

Knowledge of psychological principles and research experience are excellent preparation for a wide variety of career paths and graduate programs.  Learn more about where our students go after graduation and read about recent graduates’ current jobs and experiences in the Psychology Department.
