Gunjan Kedia (MSIA ’94, BBA)
Gunjan Kedia has been a respected leader in the financial services arena for almost 30 years. She is president of U.S. Bancorp where she leads all of the firm's revenue producing businesses. Her prior role was as vice chair of U.S. Bank Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking. She also serves on the Managing Committee, the bank's senior-most leadership group.
U.S. Bank is the fifth largest bank in America. Prior to joining U.S. Bank in 2016, she held global executive positions at BNY Mellon and State Street Financial. Previously, she was a partner at McKinsey and Company and a core leader of the financial services practice. She began her career at PwC.
Raised in Delhi, India, Kedia received her bachelor's degree in engineering from the Delhi School of Engineering, before earning her master’s degree at the Tepper School of Business.
Kedia maintains her dedicated support of the Tepper School, including serving on the Tepper School Business Board of Advisors and returning to campus to speak. She and her husband, Sridhar Tayur, Tepper School Ford Distinguished Research Chair and professor of operations management, supported the Tepper Quad Building Project.
Kedia has been recognized repeatedly for excellence in her career. She is a six-time American Banker Most Powerful Women in Finance honoree and has been named twice to the Barron’s 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance list. She received the Carnegie Mellon University Alumni Achievement Award in 2018 and earned an Ascend A-List Award in 2024. She serves on the boards of PBS, JA USA, and the Tepper School, and is an Advisory Council member for the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA).
