Supplemental instruction for students looking to expand and maintain musical study over the summer.

• Convocation
• Movement and Mindfulness for Musicians
• Group Workshops

In addition, Full-Time students have access to extracurricular activities and events with Non-Music CMU Pre-College Students.

Students participating in the Essentials Program may also add on courses including a minor studio, Music History Seminar, Resume & Portfolio Workshop, Movement and Mindfulness for Musicians, and/or Group Workshops. Additional fees apply.

Please note:

Schedule may be adjusted based on specific enrollment.
Due to the inability to hold major ensembles in Summer 2021, auditions are not required for the Comprehensive & Essentials Program. However, they are required for the Full-Time Program.
All course are offered for enrichment only. The Summer Pre-College Program does not produce official Carnegie Mellon grades or transcripts.
