All Composition and Electronic Music portfolio interviews will be held in-person or via Zoom.AUDITION DATES
All Instrumental and Voice Auditions will be held in person.

New York City Regional Auditions

National Opera Center

NOTE: CMU School of Music staff will be present at the Regional audition, however, faculty from every instrument area will not be present. All NYC regional auditions will be recorded. Voice applicants and all instrument areas, except flute and percussion, are invited to attend.
Notes on Accompaniment for Auditions
Voice Auditions
- A collaborative pianist will be provided by CMU on-campus in Pittsburgh - Please note that outside collaborative pianists are not permitted at on-campus auditions; applicants should not bring their own pianist.
- CMU will provide a collaborative pianist for the NYC regional audition day. NOTE: Students have the option to bring their own collaborative pianist to the NYC regional audition, if they wish. Should you choose to have your own pianist for NYC auditions, simply notify the CMU faculty pianist once contacted.
- Your assigned collaborative pianist will reach out to you directly to finalize details regarding your music selection.
- There will be no rehearsals.
Instrumental Auditions
